The Washington Wizards blew out the Boston Celtics 116-89 tonight in what was a chippy and physical game. The game was tied early at 12-12 but then the Wizards went on a 22-0 run. The Wizards set the tone in the first quarter leading the Celtics 39-17 and never looked back. Bradley Beal scored the Wizards’ first seven points while enforcing his will on Isaiah Thomas defensively. Thomas struggled to find his rhythm for most of the game, finishing with only 13 points.

There were eight technical fouls and three ejections in tonight’s game. Things got a little heated in the fourth quarter between Celtics Terry Rozier and Washington’s Brandon Jennings. Both players were ejected after receiving double technical fouls in the fourth quarter.
Postgame comment: Isaiah Thomas didn’t play well but he made it clear that both these teams aren’t the biggest fans of each other.
